Symbiosis Institute of International Business (Pune),
needed a compelling marketing plan for their annual
cultural event 'Ignisense.' The annual event has
several indigenous events for each department that
needed to be highlighted equally.
The target was to bring in more participants
from all cultural strata, while giving the equal
importance to each individual event. Hence, we
developed a viral dubsmash promotional campaign
based on the theme of "I'm so Rebel" to cover the
ground from most of the colleges in the city of Pune.
Apart from the advertisement hoardings around
the key places of the city to spread the word,
we created a viral dubsmash campaign to cover
as much as ground possible. We pushed the viral
videos initially with SIIB students and a bit of
paid social media boosting helped. The rest of
the promotion took off and elevated through user
generated content. The event broke all records by
witnessing maximum participation this year,
making it a success story to write on.
